Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care / skilled nursing facility setting
- Float across designated areas of the facility as needed to meet staffing demands
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with care plans and facility protocols
- Monitor and document resident health status, reporting changes to appropriate clinical staff
- Maintain compliance with all facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards
- Must present a valid state or federal issued photo ID and wear a photo badge at all times while on assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN or LPN license in the state of Maine
- Current, valid state or federal issued photo identification required
- Must have completed the original or updated COVID-19 vaccine series, or present a documented religious and/or medical exemption from employer; additional doses required where mandated by law
- Ability to float across multiple care areas within the facility
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems
- Strong communication and adaptability skills suited for a float nursing role
