Key Responsibilities
- Render direct patient care as part of the perioperative role by functioning as a first assistant to the surgeon
- Practice an expanded role of perioperative nursing, applying knowledge, skills, and judgment acquired through organized instruction and supervised practice
- Assist the surgeon in the Operating Room and Labor and Delivery Suite under surgeon supervision
- Complete credentialing through the facility’s Medical Staff office prior to start (minimum 6–8 week processing time expected)
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification required
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current CPR certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience functioning as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) in a surgical setting
- Familiarity with Labor and Delivery Suite surgical procedures and protocols
