Job Title

Travel RN – Mother Baby / Postpartum

Location

Asheville, NC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Weekends Required | No On-Call Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 34-bed private couplet Mother Baby unit with a 1:3–4 couplet patient ratio
• Operate and monitor equipment including Alaris pumps, bilirubin blankets, and bilirubin lights
• Document patient care and assessments using Cerner EMR
• Perform circumcisions and support postpartum care including patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery
• Float as helping hands to L&D and NICU as needed
• Collaborate as part of a team-oriented unit that values education and mentorship

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Mother Baby / Postpartum experience
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Must adhere to unit dress code: Navy Blue/White scrubs
• Must meet travel nurse eligibility requirements — please inquire for details

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience caring for postpartum patients on Magnesium Sulfate
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
• Team-oriented personality with a passion for patient education and mentorship
