Travel RN – Emergency Room | 16-Week Holiday Coverage

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | 16 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend required | No block scheduling; scheduling must meet the needs of the department
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
- Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation throughout the shift
- Float to all sections within the ED as needed; no floating outside of the Emergency Department
- Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
- Uphold patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards and patients updated throughout their visit
- Demonstrate ability to work in all areas of the ED, including cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- ACLS required prior to submission
- BLS required prior to submission
- PALS required prior to submission
- TNCC required prior to submission
- NIHSS required prior to submission
- ENPC required prior to submission
- CPI required by date of hire
- Navy scrubs required as dress code
- RTO and special scheduling requests will not be accommodated
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
- Background in a high-volume Emergency Department (100,000+ annual visits)
- Previous experience with HCA facilities
- Demonstrated ability to coach and provide real-time feedback in a team environment
