Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health support to patients across geriatric, inpatient, and locked unit treatment settings
• Assist clinical staff in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
• Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage and respond to behavioral situations
• Complete accurate and timely charting using Cerner
• Work every other weekend as required by the schedule

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required (unless qualifying through a Bachelor’s degree pathway — see below)
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a human services field (e.g., psychology, sociology, counseling, criminal justice, pastoral counseling, elementary/special education, or family therapy) — no experience required under this pathway; OR completion of at least 12 credits in an accredited human services or nursing program (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, medical assistant, LPN, or nursing program) with increased clinical supervision provided
• Valid PA Fingerprints (Childline) required — must be completed within 1 week of contract signing; results may take 2–4 weeks to process
• Valid state license or certification required at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; a local rate differential applies for candidates within that radius

Preferred Experience / Skills

• HWC de-escalation training preferred
• Prior experience working in geriatric, inpatient, or locked psychiatric unit settings
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
