Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP (Days)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-procedural and post-procedural nursing care for cardiac patients in a Cath Lab setting
• Assist with and support non-invasive cardiology procedures including TEE, cardioversions, and stress testing
• Manage patient care across procedure, pre, and post bays with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as assigned, including callback coverage
• Comply with holiday scheduling requirements — contractors may be expected to work 1–2 designated holidays per holiday period unless the unit is closed

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license (or compact eligibility)
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Minimum 24 months of recent experience in a Cardiac, Cardiology, Cath Lab, or Vascular setting
• Pre/post op experience required
• TEE experience required
• Cardioversion experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (verified by driver’s license)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Stress testing experience
• Diagnostic procedures experience in a cardiac or vascular setting
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
• First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
