Registered Nurse – PACU

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM) | On-Call Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity PACU environment
- Manage on-call obligations, including 2 on-call shifts Monday–Friday and 1 twelve-hour on-call shift on weekends within a 6-week schedule, as well as 1 summer and 1 winter on-call holiday
- Utilize Cerner Aceis Surgi Net for clinical documentation and charting
- Float to affiliated GI or pain center units as needed
- Deliver care in alignment with Level I Trauma standards and critical care protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid Registered Nurse (RN) state license required at time of submission
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care or PACU
- Level I Trauma experience and ICU background required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; a local rate differential applies for those within the radius
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Time-off requests (RTO) must be submitted at time of candidate submission; RTO submitted after will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in SICU (Surgical ICU), MICU (Medical ICU), or CTICU (Cardiothoracic ICU)
- Familiarity with mixed adult and pediatric patient populations
- Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are welcome to apply)
