Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts | Day: 7:00am–7:30pm | Night: 7:00pm–7:30am

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• May float to additional units to care for the same patient population based on operational needs
• Participate in rotating day and night shifts, including every other holiday, as required to meet facility operational needs
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable passing score
• Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the duration of the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry or the specialty applying for
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry experience with demonstrated ECG rhythm recognition skills
• Experience in a high-acuity acute care or large hospital system environment
• Familiarity with electronic medication administration and clinical assessment platforms
