Job Title

Surgical Technologist (CST) – OR Tech

Location

Castro Valley, CA | Acute Care Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties across multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, OB/GYN, and trauma
• Support surgical teams in a Level II Trauma acute care hospital environment
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
• Chart and document using EPIC electronic health records system
• Participate in every other weekend rotation; on-call shifts may be available but are not required

Required Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification (CST) required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 3 years of surgical technologist experience
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at travel rate (local candidates may be considered at a local rate)
• Valid California state credentials and certifications with current expiration dates required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ENT, urology, and OB/GYN surgical specialties
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Prior experience in a Level II Trauma or similarly complex acute care setting
