Job Title
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Contract | Nights | Every other weekend and some holidays required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient care functions in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision, including greeting patients, directing to exam rooms, and preparing for exams
- Take and record vital signs, measure and record patient progress, and assist during exams including setting up trays for injections
- Place IVs and perform phlebotomy as required
- Administer injections and assist with procedures such as paps and other clinical interventions
- Implement nursing care activities under the direction of the primary or associate nurse as outlined in the nursing care plan; observe and report patient responses to treatments
- Maintain exam rooms and all clinical areas; participate in nursing unit management activities
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State LPN license required
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain/renew) required
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- Demonstrated ability to place IVs and perform phlebotomy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an inpatient setting strongly preferred
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems strongly desired
