Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 4×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a Labor and Delivery unit, supporting patients through antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal monitoring strips, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float within the hospital as needed and within the scope of practice
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications throughout the duration of the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) state license — must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP certification required
• 2 professional references required at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered
• Previous employees of this facility are not eligible to apply as travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed — first-time travelers are accepted
• Ability to adapt to varying patient volumes and unit needs with flexibility
• Strong communication and teamwork skills within a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment
