Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Weekends Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Float between units as needed, including Pediatric Med/Surg and NICU
• Complete self-scheduling for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; shifts may be consecutive or split based on unit needs
• Participate in holiday coverage — travelers are expected to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
• Maintain compliance with all facility credentialing, background, and licensing requirements prior to and throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard traveler terms (locals within 50 miles may be considered under separate terms)
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (charge RNs and leads accepted)
• Must commit to all requested time off and scheduling preferences being submitted upfront at time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Facility does not accept Nursys or background check hits

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a children’s hospital or pediatric trauma center environment
• Familiarity with floating between PICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, and NICU settings
• Strong adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced pediatric critical care environment
