Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care across both an IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care unit and an IMC Thoracic unit
- Monitor and manage patients requiring telemetry, including oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown populations
- Care for patients requiring ventilator management and transplant support
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Complete and pass a telemetry examination prior to starting the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown specialty
- Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Ventilator and transplant experience required
- Must pass a telemetry examination (adult and pediatric) prior to start; passing criteria include 100% identification of lethal rhythms and an overall score of 80% or higher — up to three attempts permitted under specified conditions
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
- Familiarity with high-acuity thoracic patient populations
