Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Contract | Night Shift | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, including continuous cardiac monitoring
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition assessment and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with an acceptable passing score (maximum of 2 attempts permitted)
- Participate in annual hands-on competency requirements and complete required pre-start and annual modules as directed
- Adhere to all facility compliance standards, including background check and credentialing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
- AHA BLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission
- AHA ACLS certification — must be active and in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 12 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in a PCU/Stepdown specialty
- One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references are not accepted)
- No open background check cases; facility does not accept any license hits
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PCU/Stepdown experience gained within a single location (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments
- Experience working within a large health system environment
