Orthopedic Registered Nurse – Days

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to postoperative adult patients recovering from orthopedic, total joint replacement, podiatry, and spine surgeries
- Manage a patient assignment of up to 6 patients within a 24-bed orthopedic unit
- Monitor and assess patient recovery progress, adjusting care plans based on surgery type and discharge needs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate safe and timely patient discharges
- Maintain ACLS certification and apply advanced cardiac life support skills as needed in the clinical setting
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or compact state eligibility
- ACLS certification required
- Experience in an inpatient acute care nursing environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous post-orthopedic surgery nursing experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with total joint replacement, podiatry, and spine surgery patient populations
- Experience managing variable patient lengths of stay based on surgical and discharge complexity
