Registered Nurse – ICU / CCU

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed combined ICU and stepdown unit, managing both ICU and stepdown patient assignments as needed
- Care for a diverse critical patient population including ventilator-dependent patients, post-PCI, balloon pump, Swan-Ganz, CRRT, ECMO, sepsis, PE, post-thrombectomy, post-stroke (non-hemorrhagic), and DKA cases
- Manage and titrate vasoactive and other critical drips; maintain proficiency with vents, trachs, tube feeds, and chest tubes
- Operate and monitor unit-specific equipment including CRRT, Arctic Sun, balloon pump, EKOS, Penumbra, and pacer devices
- Document accurately using Cerner EMR; utilize Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitoring systems
- Float within scope of practice to PCU, MedSurg, or Telemetry units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Kentucky
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- CPI certification required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hands-on experience with ECMO, CRRT, balloon pumps, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz)
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Philips monitoring systems
- Experience managing DKA, sepsis, and post-interventional cardiac patients
