Contract | Nights | Sunday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM | 5×8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Perform histology laboratory procedures in an acute care setting with a 1:1 ratio
• Conduct grossing of surgical and pathology specimens as a core function of the role
• Maintain accurate specimen processing, labeling, and documentation in accordance with facility protocols
• Adhere to all laboratory safety standards and compliance requirements
• Participate in holiday coverage, with an expectation to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
• May be expected to float to nearby sister facilities as needed during the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of histology experience required; grossing experience is required
• Hospital-based laboratory experience required
• Valid California state laboratory license preferred; pending license accepted at time of submission
• Compact license, if applicable, must be in hand at time of submission
• Must submit all requested time off and scheduling needs upfront at time of submittal — post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler; candidates within 50 miles may be considered under local terms

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers considered with strong histology background and 10 or more years of experience
• California state laboratory license already in hand
• Experience working in a high-volume acute care or hospital laboratory environment
