Registered Nurse – ICU

Hagerstown, MD | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for a patient population that includes Trauma, Cardiovascular, Stroke, and Neurological cases
• Float to IMC as needed within scope to meet facility needs
• Complete required orientation modules and annual competency modules through the Relias/Net Learning portal (non-billable, average 4–8 hours)
• Adhere to holiday and weekend scheduling expectations, including working some holidays
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC (required)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending license accepted)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with strong clinical background (3+ years preferred)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• First-time travel nurses are not eligible for this position
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of ICU experience
• Experience with Trauma, Cardiovascular, Stroke, or Neurological patient populations
• Familiarity with IMC-level care and the ability to float within scope
