Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | On-call as needed | No weekend requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Independently apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver individualized, age-appropriate patient care
• Provide safe, compassionate, and therapeutic care for Labor and Delivery patients under the general direction of the unit Manager
• Utilize information from a variety of clinical sources to guide and adjust patient care plans
• May supervise and coordinate the work of other staff nurses, licensed vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and clinical support associates

Required Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – AHA or ARC
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• AWHONN certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or acute Labor and Delivery setting
• Demonstrated ability to supervise or mentor ancillary nursing staff
