Radiation Therapist
Location
Falls Church, VA | Outpatient Cancer Center
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 5×8-hour shifts, expected 40 hours/week | Shifts between 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Occasional Saturday coverage may be required if proton machine is down during the week | No on-call requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients using Varian TrueBeam, Varian Trilogy, and IBA Proton treatment systems
- Operate and document within the Aria EMR system accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a 2 RTTs to 1 patient ratio within a 7-treatment-room department
- Participate in department-specific orientation including EPIC training and orientation with the chief or lead therapist
- Adhere to facility dress code requirements (gray scrubs)
- Provide treatment coverage during holiday weeks as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia (VA) state Radiation Therapist license required at time of submittal
- RT(T) certification required
- BLS certification required — must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 2+ years of experience using Varian treatment systems (TrueBeam, Trilogy), IBA Proton, and Aria EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume cancer treatment or oncology setting
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system
- Experience with proton therapy treatment delivery
