Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans throughout the surgical episode of care
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Serve as a primary coordinator across all disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Follow Standard Precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) scrubbing
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills and decisive judgment in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a high-acuity or complex cardiovascular surgical setting
- Familiarity with established surgical policies, procedures, and protocols within a healthcare organization
