Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 27-bed Emergency Department operating as a Level II trauma center, certified chest pain center, and thrombectomy-capable stroke center
- Manage a patient ratio of 4:1, with charge nurse support and 24/7 leadership availability
- Perform and assist with procedures including procedural sedation (Propofol, Etomidate, and Ketamine), psych/at-risk patient monitoring, and high-acuity interventions
- Utilize alternative-to-opioids (ALTO) pain management therapies in alignment with unit protocols
- Document and manage patient care using Meditech (DOS platform) EMR
- Engage proactively with patients and families to support understanding of care plans and deliver high-quality patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Emergency Department hospital experience
- Active RN licensure applicable to the state of Colorado
- BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- CPI Blue Card required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) credential
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Experience working in a high-volume Emergency Department environment
- Familiarity with alternative-to-opioid (ALTO) pain management approaches
