Job Title
RN (Registered Nurse) – Emergency Room

Contract | Days | Every other weekend and every other holiday required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180–200 visits per day, serving a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, performing own lab draws and IV starts
- Care for a diverse case mix including trauma, CVA, orthopedic, and neurological presentations; facility serves as a CVA center
- Coordinate with 24/7 on-site respiratory therapy, pharmacy, nurse aides, paramedics, and security/patient sitter support
- Monitor and care for vented patients held in the ED until an inpatient bed is available, in collaboration with dedicated respiratory therapists
- Complete all orientation requirements (ORT) within the first week
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of emergency room nursing experience
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS or NIHSS, and CPI
- Meditech 6.15 EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department environment
- Familiarity with behavioral health protocols; facility includes a 6-bed locked behavioral health area staffed by psychiatry
- Experience with central monitoring and telemetry tech support workflows
- Prior travel assignments in trauma or CVA-designated facilities
