Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an 18-bed Neuro ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio (ratio may flex up or down based on acuity)
- Monitor and assess neurological status of critically ill patients, implementing appropriate interventions
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday as part of the standard schedule
- Float to the Neuro IMC unit as needed based on staffing and census demands
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CCRN, SCRN, or CNRN certification preferred
- Experience in a Neuro ICU or neurocritical care environment
- Familiarity with neurological assessment and stroke protocols
