Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care in a high-volume ED seeing approximately 350 patients per day across a 73-room department with 24 hallway spaces
- Care for stroke, STEMI, and trauma-adjacent patients in a Level I Trauma Center environment (trauma patients are not directly received, but strong trauma-level experience is essential)
- Medically clear psychiatric patients for admission; utilize sitters for suicidal patients as appropriate
- Manage non-acute patients on the non-acute side of the ED (no separate fast track area)
- Be available for 1–2 on-call shifts per schedule and willing to float to offsite ED locations in the surrounding area
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, and CPI certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
- Prior experience at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
- Willingness to take 1–2 on-call shifts per schedule
- Willingness to float to offsite ED locations as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- EPIC electronic health record experience strongly preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
