Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend expected; holiday availability required as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a combined ICU/PCU unit (16 ICU beds, 14 PCU beds) with ICU nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–2 and PCU ratios of 1:3
- Manage and titrate standard ICU drips including vasoactive and sedative medications; perform mild titrations within written parameters on the PCU side
- Care for a diverse patient population including vented patients, stroke (TNK), sepsis, OD, EtOH, vascular, abdominal trauma/surgical, CRRT, and targeted temperature management (TTM) cases
- Operate and monitor thermoguard/Zoll cooling systems for TTM patients
- Read and interpret telemetry strips independently; collaborate with on-unit tele techs who monitor in-house and sister sites
- Float between ICU and PCU patients within the unit as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (or eligibility) in the state of Idaho
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Thermoguard/Zoll cooling and TTM experience required
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
- Experience titrating vasoactive drips and managing complex ICU patient populations
- Familiarity with CRRT and targeted temperature management protocols
