Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
- Availability to work every other weekend as required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida or a compact license with Florida privileges
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or step-down clinical experience
- BLS certification required
- Ability to commit to a 36–48 hour weekly contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry in a step-down or PCU environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new clinical environments
