Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Contract | Night Shift (1900–0730) | Expected 36 hours/week | Rotating Shifts | No Call
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a Labor and Delivery setting using the LDRP model
- Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care in accordance with established Standards of Nursing Practice
- Promote cooperation and communication among the interdisciplinary health care team, including patients, families, and physicians
- Maintain current professional licenses and certifications as required by state or facility mandate
- Actively participate in shared governance committees and initiatives that promote positive guest relations
- Adhere to all applicable professional, regulatory, and facility policies and procedures while conducting all duties with the highest ethical standards
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor — required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor — required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor — required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification — required on hire and every two years thereafter
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working within the LDRP care model
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
- Familiarity with shared governance structures and nursing committee participation
