Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type
Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | Rotating holidays | On-call as needed, expected no more than one on-call shift per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor and Delivery setting throughout the night shift
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, including fetal heart monitoring, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Assist with labor support, delivery, and immediate postpartum and neonatal care
- Participate in on-call coverage as needed, expected no more than one shift per week
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Adhere to rotating holiday and every-other-weekend scheduling requirements
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing — new graduates are welcome to apply
- Active Kansas (KS) Registered Nurse license required
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required within the first two weeks of employment
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within six months of employment
- PALS certification required within six months of employment
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required within one year of employment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in Labor and Delivery or a related maternal-newborn nursing setting
- Familiarity with fetal heart monitoring interpretation and obstetric emergency response
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
