Registered Nurse – CVOR

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 6:15 AM – 6:45 PM | Monday–Friday with on-call and weekend call requirements per unit policy

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
• Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiac and thoracic procedures as the primary case focus
• Support vascular cases including open and endovascular procedures, as well as transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas) and pancreatic (Whipple) procedures
• Participate in on-call coverage as needed, with an expected schedule of approximately 3–4 weekday and 1–2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule period, subject to unit needs
• Float within the surgical service line to meet facility needs as required
• Document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or compact); pending MO license submissions considered — compact license must match permanent residence
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required; candidates with 1 year of experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility may be considered
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required (must be obtained by compliance deadline)
• Demonstrated scrub and circulate experience in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma or large academic medical center setting
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Experience with transplant or complex abdominal surgical cases
