Job Title
LVN / LPN – Medical Surgical (Night Shift) – 13-Week Contract

El Paso, TX | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend expected
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, feeding pumps, wound VAC, PCA, lift equipment, and oxygen delivery systems
- Perform and assist with chronic wound care and support respiratory therapy procedures such as breathing treatments
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, RNs, and CNAs across night shift operations
- Deliver culturally competent care in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Required Qualifications
- Active LVN / LPN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Strong critical thinking skills
- No on-call requirements for this position
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Proficient IV skills; experience with central line and Foley catheter management
- Background in orthopedic and/or kidney transplant care
- Experience caring for patients with cardiac, renal transplant, dialysis, pulmonary, GI, or diabetic conditions
