A hospital in West Virginia is looking for a traveler for a 13 week assignment in the Cardiac Tele/PCU unit.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of experience, WV license, BLS and ACLS.

Unit 6 North-Cardiac Tele/ PCU

# beds 32 Cardiac Tele/ 4 beds are PCU

Ratios If MedSurg/Tele 1 to 5 (6 is rare if discharging) / if PCU 1 to 4

Certs BLS & ACLS

Systems EPIC and Accudose

Tele Yes, need to be able to read and interpret, occasional cardiac gtts w/ titration (ie cardiazem, amnio, dopamine, integrellin, heparin, ativan, lasix), nitro gtts up to 50 mcg

Types of patients Cardiac patients, psych holds, suicide attemtps (1:1-have sitter), CR bands post cath, AMI, post op lung surgeries, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, post PCI, will not pull sheaths, no art lines
