Medical Solutions is looking for a PACU RN traveler for Tulsa, OK.

PACU Perianesthesia – PACU, Preop, Preadmit testing (PAT)

# beds “PreOp – 8 bays / PACU – 6 bays”

Phase 1 and Phase 2? Inpatient and outpatient – Yes

Certs BLS, ACLS, PALS

Ratios 1:4 depending on acuity. 3 RNs staffed minimum.

EMR EPIC

Tele Yes – RNs read strips.

Floating Must be able to work PreOp, PACU, PAT.

Common types of cases to recover? “Can hold ICU patients in PACU. Most ICU surgicals return directly to ICU. OR cases – General – gallbladder, hernia, wounds, wound vacs, appys, GI surgicals, exp laps, etc. Also Endo, ECTs, and CVOR (CABG, valves, AAAs). Ortho – 25 cases per months. Rare totals. Endo – 80-85 cases per month. EGDs, colonoscopies, bronchs, EVAS.”

ICU patients – do they recover in PACU? Yes Occassionally
