Registered Nurse Duties:

• Conduct routine assessments as ordered by the Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) and within the RN scope of practice.
  
  
• Administer medications, as ordered by the treating LIP including, but not limited to: subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, oral, transcutaneous, rectal, intravenous, and topical forms.
  
  
• Assess individuals for potential reactions to medications and escalate concerns to the next level care Provider.
  
  
• Provide Nursing Assessment on admission. This includes, but is not limited to: the initial nursing assessment, health history, risk assessment and routine laboratory studies as indicated for directed and per facility policy.
  
  
• Provide Health Education on a One-to-One (Nurse to Individual) basis.
  
  
• Evaluate and document the effectiveness of the Nursing Care Plan.
  
  
• Participate in/lead individual treatment groups where determined applicable by the facility.
  
  
• Interface with community based mental health providers, hospitals, and other agencies to promote continuation of an individual’s care, including transfer, bed information, and acceptance/approval for admission to the facility.

Registered Nurse Qualifications:

• License in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Must be willing to submit to a drug test and criminal background check.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required 
• Other qualifications may be required.
